In the summer of 2024, my wife, Cecilia, and I had the privilege of traveling to Eswatini, Africa, on a mission trip with Challenge Ministries. During our time there, we witnessed both the heartbreaking realities of poverty and the extraordinary power of God's love at work through His people. We met children who have experienced loss, hunger, and unimaginable hardship. But we also saw something remarkable: a community committed to restoring hope. The staff, volunteers, and caregivers at Bulembu Ministries pour their hearts into creating a safe, loving environment where children are not only cared for, they are given the opportunity to heal, grow, and discover the future God has planned for them.
That experience changed us forever.
Our time in Eswatini strengthened our faith, deepened our marriage, and gave us a renewed sense of purpose. We witnessed firsthand that God transforms lives through ordinary people who are willing to serve with the extraordinary love of Jesus. Bulembu is living proof that when a community comes together, hope replaces despair and children are given the chance to dream again.
